Stila's Boldly Beautiful Palette....A FOTD & Review....

I recently decided that I would branch out and try other makeup brands besides the Notorious MAC! Although MAC is my all-time favorite brand I have been having fun trying out others... thanks to the GREAT review given by Sara a.k.a The Makeup Snob one of the things I purchased recently  that I LOVE is the Stila Boldly Beautiful Palette!

Urban Decay's Alice in Wonderland Palette....

Growing up as a kid I always loved the story of Alice in Wonderland and a few weeks ago while watching movie trailers I saw the trailer for the 2010 remake of the movie... I was so excited and knew I'd be going back to see it, but never imagined that UD would create a palette to go along with it!! When I heard there was a possibility I quickly started to research....For 2 reasons... 1. I wanted to try UD shadows and this would be the perfect opportunity 2. I knew it would be something special....

Klean Colors Hawaiian Rainbow Splendor

So yesterday I made a trip across town to my favorite beauty supply store. The purpose of my trip was to find the infamous NYX Runway & Makeup Artist Palette and because this store always has all the NYX I knew I was headed to the right place....

Unfortunately, Once I got there and they didn't have any of the palettes I was looking for; but on the way out the door SOMETHING CAUGHT MY EYE....What was  it???

They were Klean Colors Eyeshadow Palettes...

Rimmel's Airy Fairy Lipstick.... My thoughts

While watching some YouTube videos I noticed that one of my favorite Makeup Gurus Aubrey a.k.a. Fafinettex3 constantly reffered to Rimmel's Airy Fairy lipstick as her HG nude lipstick....so as usual I decided to take a trip to Walgreens! as I couldn't wait to see what all the rave was about with this particular shade... Add to that the fact that all Rimmel was 50% off that day and we had a deal! I ended up paying around $2.50 for the lipstick and as usual thought to myself ....at this price it won't be a total waste if I hate it!

L'Oreal Telescopic Lash Explosion Mascara....A Review....

Ok! I know that I am sooo late on reviewing this product as it's aready been done a million times already....but you know what they say "its better late than never"...LOL... Anyways, on to my review....

When I first laid eyes on this mascara I was intrigued by the shape of the brush! it was so weird....I'd never seen a spherical mascara brush and I wanted to know...Scratch that! I had to know what special powers it held...

So as I stood in Walmart debating whether or not it was worth the $9 they were asking I wondered.... "would this mascara take my scrawny, barely there lashes and turn them into the long lucious lashes that the ladies in the commercial have?? would it give me a sexy sultry lash like Ms. Monroe or would it make me mad like all the other mascaras before it"... but for $9 it wasn't gonna break me so I gave it a try.....

The brush although attached to a long flimsy wand did just as L'Oreal had promised! I was able to reach each and every lash without fighting.....So I'm thinking to myself..."Self we're off to a good start!!"....

WRONG!!!! while the brush is wonderful the mascara itself is not... it did not perform as promised...instead of long thick lashes I ended up with a clump of lashes that only got worse as I attempted to fix the problem! after I managed to unclump my lashes I did notice they were a bit thicker but longer...NO!

I think I'm gonna keep the brush to use with my other mascaras and dump the actual mascara... I don't see myself repurchasing this item or even recommending it to anyone... that's my 2 cent.....
